"I've planted chestnuts from Canopy FM on three different farms, along with chestnuts from other vendors.  Their chestnuts consistently out-perform other vendors.  Their seeds are sourced from some of the marquee chestnut orchards east of the Rockies.  Plus they are the cheapest of my sources for select seedlings.  The seedlings typically grow two feet in the first growing season.  Roots, genes, and price makes Canopy FM my preferred vendor for chestnut trees."

"I am not a Review Leaving kind of guy, but in this case I feel like I had to leave a review. I have ordered numerous plants and trees over the years from pretty much every nursery. This past week, my first ever order from Canopy came, and I planted them immediately because rain was in the forecast.
When I first picked up the box I was immediately pleased with the weight. Orders for similar trees in the past from other nurseries were always just always Dry, Small and Light. But, when I lifted the box, I could tell there was quality inside just by the weight.
When I opened the box I was impressed with the packaging, the organization, the labeling and the separation leaving no question to the planter.
The trees were very large and robust looking, many even budding. The root systems were even more impressive. When comparing Canopy’s Trees to other companies products of past orders I literally was blown away at the quality of their products. I can’t WAIT to see these chestnuts Thrive!
If you are looking for quality trees, look no further."

"Doing pretty well considering I just pushed sticks into the ground in mid June. No watering, no fetilizing, no care whatsoever."

"While planning to retire from 41 years in the telecom industry I decided to jump into the  chestnut business. This was the fall of 2022. The plan was to plant 5 acres of chestnut trees in the spring of 2023. In researching the dos and don’ts I discovered Canopy Farms. I ordered the trees I needed from them with John Middleton’s assistance on variety selection. I picked up the trees in May of 2023. The trees were in great shape and I planted them over the following week. John was very helpful in answering my questions and making sure my planting was successful. Of the 225 trees I purchased only 2 have died to date. All of the trees are doing great and average over 8’ tall after only 2+ growing seasons. I have planted another 2 acres in the spring of 2025 and plan to plant 3 more in 2026. The trees I planted in spring of 2025 were from canopy farms and some of them are already growing out of the 5'  plantra tubes."
